This master class explores creating the safe learning environment within which mindfulness course participants can begin to turn toward difficulty with self-compassion and with growing self-confidence.

Intrinsic to this is the inquiry process and the master class develops the capacity of the mindfulness teacher to meet moments of intensity in inquiry with openness, resilience and compassion. The training includes safe, simple and incremental mindfulness and compassion practices that can be offered to participants to help cultivate their capacity to approach and become more open to moments of difficulty.

Dan Siegel’s Window of Tolerance model offers a helpful framework for helping clients work effectively with difficulty between the extremes of hyper- and hypo-arousal. We explore using this model in the context of mindfulness teaching and inquiry.

This workshop is one of the 3 that forms the MRE Level 2 training pathway.
These are open to anyone who has completed Level 1 of a recognised mindfulness teacher training programme (e.g. MBSR, MBCT, Breathworks, .bF) or who has attended all three Level 1 Mindful Resilience Enhancement workshops.
