The PGDip/MSc Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy  at the University of Salford has an optional module Mindfulness-Based Approaches with CBT. The module is delivered as 2 workshops, each of 2 days: Workshop 1 Thursday February 6th 10am-6pm Friday February 7th 9am-5pm Workshop 2 Thursday April 10th 10am-6pm Friday April 11th 9am-5pm These workshops embed the content of Level 1 MRE Workshop 1 (Introduction to Mindfulness) and Workshop 2 (Teaching Mindfulness to Individual Clients) . The third MRE Workshop: Teaching Mindfulness to Groups is not included in the module but is delivered at The Christie so that those attending the Salford MRE Workshops 1 & 2 can go on to do Workshop 3 at the Christie. The longer days of these workshops include more focus on the underpinning evidence base, necessary to University modules. For details of the underpinning philsophy and structure of MRE training please go to www.mre.re There are 2 modes of attendance on these workshops: 1. As a short course participant meaning that you are attending for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with minimal access to University of Salford resources and you will not receive Masters level credits on completion of the module.  An attendance certificate is issued on completion of each workshop. The fee for this mode of attendance is £240 for each Workshop - £480 in total for the whole module. It is possible to pay for and attend each workshop separately but you must have done MRE Workshop 1 (at Salford, at the Christie or elsewhere) before you can do Workshop 2.  To book on this module as a short course participant please go to the Salford Professional Development site. 2. As a fully enrolled University of Salford student meaning that you have full access to most University facilities in the same way as other enrolled students and will be assessed through a 5000 word essay. On successful completion of the module 30 masters level (M-level / Level 7 credits) are awarded. The fee for the whole module is £1300. To enrol as a M-level student please go to the main University site. Note: North-West NHS employees: this module is available through CPD-apply (you would enrol on the M-level version).
